Grandpa Bob meant more to me than I ever consciously new. I owe my current life to many people, but Bob is definitely near the top of the list. The first computer I used was a cast off from his office. I'm pretty sure that I was the only second grader at Letha with a computer at home. Much later he gave me a job that paid enough in 3 months of summer work to cover most of my rent and books while in college. Without these benefits it is unlikely that I would have been equipped for the life I have today.

I tried to tell him how much he had meant to me, but I regret that I only did that when it was a consolation to me. I will try to be a better person to honor his memory.

For now I will just repeat the magic word that is supposed to make the pain stop: socketymablah.
